This Timex model is a somewhat special!

Very few companies produced a Quartz Controlled Balance Wheel movement; only Record-Golay, Porta, Citizen, Luch and Timex.

This Timex Quartz houses the Model 63 movement and was introduced about 1973; production ceased in 1980. Models 62, 63 and 64 are similar and all are derived from the Timex Model 40 movement.

The movement is reported to be highly accurate --- and this is certainly the case with this example.
