Although Hamilton had stopped the manufacturer of their own electric movements, their very successful
Presentation Sales division continued to sell Hamilton-branded watches to a variety of companies for
employee presentation purposes.
The watches below are some the Hamilton-branded watches containing the ESA Dynotron movement
that fall into this company presentation category:
The first watch (Photos 1 and 2) is interesting; it contains a standard ESA 9154 movement and
is a presentation watch for the US steel company, ARMCO.
The company must have had a relatively long association with Hamilton because they also used an
earlier
Hamilton Electric 505 as a presentation watch. In the case of the 505, the stainless steel
was actually made from ARMCO Stainless Steel and the case is marked as such, however, there are no
such marks on the case of this Hamilton Electronic.
The second watch is produced for Winn-Dixie, the supermarket chain in the southern US.
Looks like this watch was promoting safe driving for its delivery drivers. It houses the
ESA 9150 movement.
