The Van Horn was the first production Hamilton Electric...and therefore the first production electric watch in the world. It was released on 3rd January 1957 and was name after Hamilton's Director of Research and Development, Dr. John Van Horn. At first glance, the Van Horn looks very similar to the Titan (see below), however there are slight differences between the dials and the Titan case is 10K Gold Filled while the Van Horn is solid 14K Gold.

The Van Horn was the conservative face of the traditional Hamilton Watch Company but it was released alongside the first of the futuristic Richard Arbib designed electrics, the Ventura.
